Scuba Diving
Scuba gear, onboard compressor, wide diving platform and a resident dive master make Liahona the ideal boat for scuba diving.

There is no charge for certified divers to dive with Liahona's Dive Master and all your equipment is provided. Just be sure and bring your certification card and you will be required to fill out a dive disclaimer.

Snorkeling
Snorkeling can be enjoyed at almost all anchorages by everyone! Whether you simply want to refresh in the crystal clear water or are on the look out for some colorful coral or tropical fish, you can almost always find great snorkeling right off the back of the boat.

Your vessel is equipped with masks, snorkels and fins for this pleasurable past-time. We will ask for your sizes ahead of time so we can ensure you have all the proper equipment. You are always welcome to bring your own snorkel gear as well.

Diving Policies
As with every aspect of your sailing vacation, our SCUBA diving program is tailored towards your enjoyment and safety. Each of our catamarans is equipped with B.C.s, Regulators, fins, masks, snorkels and weight belts but if you have your own equipment and would prefer to use that please bring it along. We do not provide wet suits or dive lights.

Divers must bring their Certification card. If you have had any serious illnesses or operations since certification we request that you consult with a physician prior to participating in SCUBA diving.

Our Divemaster chooses dive sites based on weather conditions and guests experience level, they will also act as guides. There is an abundance of colorful coral reefs and wreck dives in the British Virgin Islands. Most dive sites offer snorkeling at the shallow depths, with a small wall or feature to which the divers can descend to see more corals and fish life. The dives average 30-60 feet deep, offering plenty of bottom time to really enjoy the features of each site.

Among our favorites dives are Pelican Island and the Indians, Painted walls, the Wreck of the R.M.S. Rhone, Blue Chromis reef, the Chimney and Diamond reef.

Most BVI dive sites come under the jurisdiction of the BVI National Parks Trust and we encourage our guests to preserve their beauty by not taking any souvenirs or damaging the marine life.

Please read and complete our Dive Disclaimer before your holiday.
